Media

What is Media ?

Media is simply the way in which we communicate through platforms such as Television, Film and the Internet. These and many other forms of communication reach a wide range of people all over the world, this means we can communicate Social, Cultural and Political influences or messages.

Practices of Media.

Media isn't however just a way of communicating Social, Cultural and Political messages but actually just a way of simple communication. They can do this through many sites like Twitter and Facebook (which are social media sites). Media is very important by the way it creates opportunities and ways for Musicians, Writers and many other people.

Film.

Film has been around since the Mid-19th Century, when the first films were made they were simple and quite basic being as they were on a thin strip of plastic layered in light sensitive emulsion, it was black and white, this gave many people the terrific experience of visiting the theater. Today film is produced through digital technology, this means we can experience clearer pictures and amazing quality. Although many of us still visit the movie theater, even that is now being taken over by DVD's and online movie platforms due to the easy access at home and elsewhere.

Preliminary Task

This is my preliminary task which is trying to show that we follow three simple rules. These rules were match on action, shot reverse shot and 180 degree rule. The first couple of shot we took followed all three rules which shown we can follow them but a bit of the way through when you see an over the shoulder shot looking at Detective Oliver we crossed the 180 degree line rule which meant we had to re-shoot and edit those bits in because we wanted to show that we could follow and use these three basic rules.
